About The Treasurer's Office
The Carroll County Treasurer is responsible for collecting and distributing all property taxes levied in Carroll County. The Treasurer serves as the county's chief financial officer, managing county funds, making investments, and ensuring taxpayer dollars are handled responsibly and efficiently.
Our office is committed to providing excellent customer service to Carroll County property owners and making the tax payment process as convenient as possible. We offer multiple payment options and are available to assist with questions about your property taxes.
Services We Provide
Property Tax Collection
Collect and distribute property taxes for schools, townships, municipalities, and other taxing districts in Carroll County.
Payment Processing
Accept and process property tax payments in-person at the Treasurer's office. A 24-hour drop box is also available at the right of the Courthouse stairs.
Tax Records & Information
Provide property tax information, payment history, and duplicate tax bills to property owners.
Fund Management
Manage and invest county funds responsibly to maximize returns while ensuring safety and liquidity.
Important Tax Due Dates
Note: If the due date falls on a weekend or holiday, the deadline is the next business day. Late payments may incur penalties and interest.
Payment Options
Carroll County property taxes can be paid in person at the Treasurer's office during regular business hours.

A 24 hour drop box is available for payments — located at the right of the Courthouse stairs.

Mailed payments must be postmarked by the due date.
